Colleagues Els, Veerle, Lieve, Evelien and Tom of cycling team 'Deloose hartjes' of AZ Sint-Blasius Dendermonde are the winners of the Bike to Work Spring Challenge 2020 in the Newcomer's Classification. 

Eddy and Wim from Bike to Work treated the cheerful group of nurses to a real cycling team delight. 

After the official inauguration and the meet & greet with HR manager Marianna Dierickx, the team made a tour through the Scheldeland on e-bikes with Bosch drive along the picturesque villages of Sint-Amands and Mariakerke, to Bornem. At Taverne d'Oude Poort they toasted to victory with bubbles and snacks. 

To top it all off, each team member was allowed to spend a voucher of no less than €250 in the local bike shop. Bet they will encourage all their colleagues to join the Spring Challenge in 2021?

The Spring Challenge 2020 in figures: the corona virus did not stop an impressive peloton of 740 Bike to Workers in 194 teams from 53 companies from cycling 107,586.58 km to work for 2 weeks (from 2 to 19 June). They saved 19 tonnes of CO². No less than 85 prizes were won.
